An evening with La Tasca

Its no secret that I love spanish food, as I’d been visiting various areas of Spain since my childhood Im very much brought up with the food and traditional delicacies.

Recently La Tasca in Liverpool has had a refurbishment to simply refresh the eatery and added some new dishes to their menu whilst also keeping the classics.I was invited along to their sample taste testing evening complete with sangria and entertainment in the form of flamenco, the traditional spanish style of dance.

La Tasca is an eatery that brings Spanish delicacy and tradition to the UK in form of tapas, for those who are unaware as to what tapas is, its essentially little sample dishes of food instead of big whole meals, essentially so you can snack and try various dishes without the commitment to one main big dish.

Upon arrival we were seated with the rest of the taste testers and bloggers, I was greeted and given the choice of sangria, which I was spoilt for choice with as they had over 4 flavours to choose from, I went for the archers and proseco sangria.

The evening started with a warm welcome and an instant array of gorgeous tapas dishes, of course I was a frequent visitor to la Tasca beforehand and so I knew what to expect, it was a pleasure to see how much more stunning it was  after the refurb.

Dishes after dishes were brought out to us, I noticed some classics and some new dishes, I even sampled some dishes that I would never have gone for such as pork cheek, I was pleasantly surprised!

The evening was a hit, the food was perfection and the entertainment was exactly what you’d expect to see in Spain itself, the night was finished with the dish we’d all been waiting for, Paella.
If you haven’t already visited La Tasca in Liverpool or your nearest restaurant I’d head to it if you love tapas! I created a video montage of the evening over on my YouTube channel so shimmy on over to watch that!:

Included in this post is a 25% off voucher for your meal at La Tasca, simply print this page off and you’re done!

I’d like to thank Liverpool Bloggers and La Tasca for the evening, I ate some beautiful food and met some wonderful people! Until the next time!
